We cordially congratulate Sarah Schoch for a successful defence of her PhD thesis on November 25th 2020 at the University of Zurich. This achievement is not only exciting due to the discovery of a sleep-gut connection in infants, but it also is the beginning of a new research generation with the very first PhD graduation in the Baby Sleep Laboratory.
Sarah has been working hard and enthusiastically since the founding of our research lab 4 years ago. Without her engagement, motivated nature and kind personality, we would not be where we are today.
Sarah’s future is bright: With a grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation she will pursue “The Role of Dreams in Memory Reactivations and Consolidation during Sleep” with Prof. Dr. Dresler in the Donders Institute (Radboudumc, Nijmegen Netherlands), which is further supported by the Cogito Foundation as “An interdisciplinary investigation of dreams and their functions”.
We look forward to keep hearing exciting research news from Dr. Sarah Schoch in the future.
