Study about Babies Sleep

We invite you to contact us if you are interested in one or more of the below studies. This research is conducted in French.

We are looking for participants!

What is the purpose?

While adults sleep mainly at night, babies sleep as much during the day as they sleep at night, before their sleep moves more and more towards the night. Our team is investigating how this rhythm evolves. We measure whether various factors influence sleep rhythm development, such as for example nutrition or intestinal bacteria.

Who can participate?

We are looking for babies:

  • Less than 2 months old
  • In good general health
  • Born vaginally (no Caesarean section)

What is the study about?

For this study you will have to:

  • Fill out questionnaires on health, sleep and nutrition about your child and yourself.
  • Have your baby wear a motion monitor on the ankle, three times for 2days at age 2, 4 and 6 months.
  • Collect stool from your baby with a sampling kit, also at 2, 4 and 6 months of age.

We appreciate your help with this research. If you are interested or have any questions, please do not hesitate to write to us: babysleep@unifr.ch.
