We are happy and proud that Sarah Schoch has received a prestigious award from the Swiss National Science Foundation to follow her dream!
Starting in 2021, Sarah will spend a postdoctoral research fellowship in the Netherlands. To study the role of dreams in memory reactivations and consolidation during sleep she will join the group of Prof. Martin Dresler at the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour.
In this ambitious project she will investigate whether different sleep stages are relevant for aspects of memory strength. She will test whether the occurrence of dreams is linked to different lines of memory processing. Amongst others, she will use a technique to target memory reactivation and lucid dreaming to systematically discover new knowledge.
Before this adventure can start, we wish her best of luck for the final spurt towards the finishing line of her PhD!
